Church of the holy trinity

CATHOLIC CHURCH OF THE HOLY TRINITY was built in Baroque style in 1763, by the Franciscans. The church is decorated with an organ (1771), as well as with valuable sculptures and paintings. The Parochial Office saw the most important event in the town's history: in 1749, amidst celebrations unlike any the town had witnessed ever before, the Charter and the Statue of "the Free and Royal Town" were handed over to the citizens of Sombor. The first elections for the town's Magistrate also took place here.
